Auchan plans to launch 20 cosmetics stores in Russia per year
MOSCOW, Aug 19 (PRIME) -- Auchan Retail Russia, a local unit of French retailer Auchan, plans to open up to 20 Lillapois Beauty cosmetics stores per year with annual investments amounting to about 400 million rubles, Eric Didierdefresse, the project’s head, told reporters on Friday.
The first Lillapois Beauty store opened in Moscow on Friday, and two more shops will be open until the end of 2016. In 2017, the company plans to launch 10–20 new stores.
“We plan to test how the three first stores will operate in three different places – in a mall, close to a metro station and in a residential district. We will make conclusions after that. Our plans include launches of up to 20 stores per year,” Didierdefresse said.
Russia became the second country where Auchan has cosmetics stores. The company’s first Lillapois store was launched in Italy in 2014, and the chain currently consists of more than 46 stores.
